Kickoff Workshop for the Second Funding Period of the IDK Philology

On October 10th, 2025, the kickoff workshop for the second funding period of the IDK Philology took place. The workshop included a welcome for the new cohort of doctoral students and associated members, followed by discussions of introductory research papers on the definition of philology and its role in academia, and a campus tour. The IDK thus got off to a flying start in its second funding phase with lively discussions, which were continued at a traditional restaurant in the area.
