Masterclass with Prof. Kevin Chang
In the second masterclass of the IDK Philology (19 June, 2023), the doctoral candidates engaged in a detailed discussion with Prof. Kevin Chang (Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan). Initially, they delved into Chang's contribution to the recently held International Conference: Beyond Comparison, and subsequently examined a supplementary and thematically related article (“Philology or Linguistics: Transcontinental Responses”, in: Sheldon Pollock et al., World Philology, 2015). In the second part of the masterclass, the participants engaged in a conversation regarding career opportunities in academia, looking at Prof. Chang’s own career across three continents.
